Last updated: [20/03/2026]
Play On Demand ("POD", "we", "us", or "our") is a community-based football and sports app that helps people find and join local games and view personalised post‑match highlights and stats.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application Play On Demand (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you use POD, you may provide us with:
Account information: name or nickname, email address, password or authentication credentials (handled securely via our authentication provider).
Profile details: profile photo, preferred position, skill level, favourite teams, bio, or other information you choose to share.
Game participation: games you create, join, host, or attend; teams you are part of.
Performance data: match stats and performance metrics (for example, goals, assists, minutes played, ratings, and similar stats depending on app features).
Highlights and media: video clips, photos, and other media from your matches. Games may be recorded using cameras or phones (including via third‑party recording platforms such as Veo). Full‑match footage is processed to create shorter clips and highlights, which are then stored and delivered through our systems and service providers.
Communications: messages you send to us (for example, support emails) and in‑app feedback.
If you make purchases in the App:
Payment‑related information: we do not store full payment card numbers. Payments are processed by our third‑party payment processor (Stripe). Stripe may collect payment card details and billing information as described in its own privacy policy.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we may automatically collect:
Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, language, and time zone.
Usage information: features used, screens viewed, taps and interactions; session duration; in‑app events (such as games joined or created).
Approximate location: to show you local games near you, we may collect location information, which may be derived from your device’s location services (with your permission), from your IP address, or from the location you manually provide.
Log and diagnostic information: crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information to help us improve stability and performance.
We do not use this information to identify you personally, except where it is linked to your account as necessary to provide the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and operate the App: create and manage your account, let you find and join local games, and generate personalised post‑match highlights and stats.
Matchmaking and discovery: show you games and players near you or that match your preferences.
Video highlights and stats: use full‑match recordings captured via Veo or similar providers to create shorter highlight clips and stats for you and other players. Those clips are then stored and streamed through our backend and video hosting providers (including Mux) so that they can be viewed in the App.
Improve the experience: analyse how the App is used to improve features, performance, and design.
Communicate with you: send you service‑related emails or messages (for example, confirmations, updates, support responses, important changes to this policy).
Safety and integrity: detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and other harmful activity; enforce our terms and policies.
Legal reasons: comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data may include:
Performance of a contract: to provide the App and its features you request.
Legitimate interests: improving and securing the App, preventing abuse, and supporting users.
Consent: where required for certain processing (for example, access to device location). You can withdraw your consent at any time in your device settings or by contacting us.
Legal obligations: to meet our legal and regulatory responsibilities.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
4.1 Service Providers
We use trusted third‑party service providers to help us run POD, such as:
Supabase – for authentication, database, and storage of user accounts, game data, stats, and media.

These providers only process your information on our behalf and under our instructions, and they are required to protect your data appropriately.
